A talented musician who plays Tuba and is a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, has received a JTYAF bursary towards the costs of his music tuition. 

The JTYAF has helped a 13 year old to buy the safety equipment essential to help to keep him safe on his mountain bike.

A scholarship has been awarded to a 17 year old student from Budmouth Academy to support her participation in a 4 week school volunteering expedition to Borneo. 

A talented circus student has gained a place on a specialist one-week intensive circus training course at the Ecole Nationale Cirque in Montreal.

The JTYAF has provided funding to cover the cost of a Middle School student’s peripatetic music lessons and we wish him every success with his musical development.

A member of the Aces Cheer cheerleading squad has received support to help with the cost of new cheerleading shoes and hotel accomodation fees.

The JTYAF has contributed towards a trip to Buddens Farm Activity Centre for 18 students, making it possible for them to join their school friends on this summer residential.  

The JTYAF is delighted to support a talented young football player who has recently secured a 2-year scholarship at Prodirect.  A bursary will help him to buy the football boots he needs to support his performance.

The JTYAF has recently funded a course of 1:1 swimming lessons for a 10 year old girl who has a fear of water that she is desperate to overcome.

A 12 year old member of Christchurch Scouts has received a contribution towards a Christchurch District Scouting International Trip to Germany.  

A 16 year old with a passion for figure skating has received support from the JTYAF to attend a 6 week course at Plant Ice in Basingstoke together with travel expenses.

The JTYAF has funded 10 weeks of 2-hour Forest School sessions which will be offered to 15 children per session within the school day.

Bournemouth Sea Cadets are taking full advantage of the many opportunities available to them.  Four Sea Cadets will take part in an Offshore Voyage later this year thanks to the JTYAF.

A talented 13 year old snooker player will be travelling to Albania later this month, for the World Snooker Federation Junior Championships. 
The JTYAF has made this trip possible by helping with accomodation costs. 

An award has supported a 14-year-old student from Ferndown Upper School who is studying GCSE Photography and struggling to do her coursework as she has been unable to afford a camera.

The JTYAF is delighted to have been able to support a residential educational visit to Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre for Year 4 children from Parley First School, helping with funding in order to make this trip accessible to all the children.

A member of Parkstone Rangers has been selected to represent Girlguiding South West Region on an Inter-Railing trip to Europe in 2024.

One of our most recent awards has supported an exciting project at Ferndown Upper School.  We were invited to a presentation by a team of 4 students, ‘FernDrive,’ who are taking part in the South-West of England ‘F1 in Schools’ competition.
