Our Alternative Quiz Night, organised with our great friends at the Steve Bernard Foundation raised an incredible £1335.60 for the two charities. Not only was there a fabulous prize of a ‘Wheelbarrow of Wine’ for the winning team, but there was a Charity Champions trophy, up for grabs too.

Quiz Master Jacques certainly put us through our paces with some tough questions and he threw in a round where we had to quess answers to questions as an 9/10 year olds. The jigsaw puzzle round sorted the wood from the trees and we were delighted to see the winning team ‘2 Ghoul 4 School’ from Ferndown Upper School, awarded with the Wheelbarrow of Wine!

The JTYAF won the Charity Champions Cup which was a great result and at the other end of the scale the JTYAF also won the Wooden Spoon!

Without the support of everyone at Ferndown Upper School, this event wouldn’t have been possible. They not only provided the venue but they also helped with the refreshments at half time, and entered 3 teams into the bargain.

Our thanks must also go to Quiz Master Jacques, Kingren who sponsored the event, In-Excess, West Parley, who donated the wheelbarrow, all the Quizzers for supporting the event and donating the wine for the winning prize. Not forgetting Diane for her lovely cakes and Ray and Lorna for their help on the night.

The funds raised will be used to provide bursaries and scholarships to young people supporting their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions. The Steve Bernard Foundation will use the funds to provide opportunities to develop young talent in sport.
