We are thrilled to announce that the John Thornton Music Scholarships will be funding one-on-one tuition for twelve incredibly talented violinists in the year ahead. This generous donation of £4000 will cover 160 hours of tuition, which translates to an amazing 320 lessons!

The students, who range in age from 5 to 19 and in ability from Grade 1 to Grade 8, have been identified as having above-average ability. We at the JTYAF are absolutely delighted to support their musical development and help them reach new heights.

Since 2012, John's Foundation has been proudly supporting the Boscombe Youth Fiddle Orchestra (previously known as the Coda Fiddle Orchestra). Thanks to this ongoing support, many young musicians have achieved Grade 8 and even gone on to study music at university.

We're incredibly proud of the John Thornton Music Scholars and can't wait to see what they accomplish in the coming year. Keep up the fantastic work!
