We were delighted to hear that all the Covid tests were negative and Lauren has jetted off to take part in the World Cheer leading Competition in Florida. The JTYAF made this trip possible and we wish her and the team every success. We look forward to hearing all about it!

Read MoreThe Trustees of the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation had their first face to face meeting for 2 years last Saturday and they agreed to allocate a staggering £101,550 for awards for local youngsters in 2022. This included a new £33,000 Jubilee Fund for local school children, in celebration of the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008.
The JTYAF provides opportunities for young people to help them to develop as individuals and fulfil their ambitions in life as John was able to do.
