Thanks to Paul Hooker, the JTYAF enjoyed a brilliant Curry Night at the Cinnamon Lounge in Verwood.

Alan and his team put on a fantastic buffet and with Paul’s enthusiasm and the generosity of the supporters an incredible £457.86 was raised on the night!

Every Monday afternoon saw the students busy designing and creating Christmas crafts and gifts which included cards, bunting, Santa's trousers filled with sweets, gift tags, chocolate reindeers with price tags ranging from 50p to £2.50.

The theme for the 2015 Wimborne and Colehill Fireworks, was Bond, James Bond. The 15,000+ shot display was synchronized to some of the most iconic Bond movie theme music and was again the longest display in Dorset.

About Us

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008. 

The JTYAF provides opportunities for young people to help them to develop as individuals and fulfil their ambitions in life as John was able to do.
