Bournemouth Sea Cadets are taking full advantage of the many opportunities available to them.  Four Sea Cadets will take part in an Offshore Voyage later this year thanks to the JTYAF.

A talented 13 year old snooker player will be travelling to Albania later this month, for the World Snooker Federation Junior Championships. 
The JTYAF has made this trip possible by helping with accomodation costs. 

An award has supported a 14-year-old student from Ferndown Upper School who is studying GCSE Photography and struggling to do her coursework as she has been unable to afford a camera.

The JTYAF is delighted to have been able to support a residential educational visit to Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre for Year 4 children from Parley First School, helping with funding in order to make this trip accessible to all the children.

A member of Parkstone Rangers has been selected to represent Girlguiding South West Region on an Inter-Railing trip to Europe in 2024.

One of our most recent awards has supported an exciting project at Ferndown Upper School.  We were invited to a presentation by a team of 4 students, ‘FernDrive,’ who are taking part in the South-West of England ‘F1 in Schools’ competition. 

The JTYAF was delighted to support a group project with an award of £1700 to help to set up a Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre at Atlantic Academy on the Isle of Portland.

A JTYAF Scholarship was awarded to a talented Ferndown Upper School student to help with the cost of representing his country at an International Gymnastics Tournament, The Loule Cup, in Portugal.

A student from Ferndown Upper School has recently completed his taekwondo grading with the TAGB and we were delighed to hear that he passed and is now a 2nd Dan black belt!

A bursary has been awarded to a 16 year old student at Ferndown Upper School to fund a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

A student at Ferndown Upper School has received an award to contribute towards the cost of an ‘A’ Level Physics Trip to Geneva.

The JTYAF recently visited the new Beaucroft College Cafe in Wimborne and what a treat it was. A fabulous menu which included paninis, toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes and arguably the best coffee in town. Beaucroft also makes exceedingly good cakes! JTYAF funding had provided the students with an all singing, all dancing, new till.

The JTYAF was delighted to support the development of Ferndown Wayfarers Youth Cricket Teams by funding the purchase of mats for their indoor training.

The JTYAF was delighted to fund Expedition Maroon Eagle 2023, which saw 10 exceptional Air Cadet Junior Leaders embark on an extraordinary adventure. 

The JTYAF is delighted to support a talented young swimmer with a contribution towards club membership fees and competition entry fees, removing any financial barriers to his training.
